It is "<strong>Photos of Me</strong>", which means that you can tag area of a picture where you are on. this way you don't have to upload twice the same pictures that was taken at your friend party. <strong>For Example</strong>: You and seven friends of yours went to beach, one of your friends had a camera and made group photo, he/she uploaded the photo to orkut and now you can tag who is on this group who, this photo goes to your profile (if you are on it) and you don't have to Reupload it. Disabling photo tagging doesn't stop your photos spreading on orkut, people can still upload your photos. it just means that you don't let visitors to find pictures that you are on and you don't let Them Tag photos. :) You are way off.
