You can now chat with any orkut users with the help of orkut gtalk chat ,orkut have integrated this feature inside orkut profiles , this change will decrease the use of chat application in orkut but at the same time help users in connecting with there friends very easily .Follow below guide to make yours orkut chat live for either all yours friends or for limited friends.
Go to Setting - Chat Tab and either allow all yours friends to chat with you or allow selected friends to chat with you , to allow all yours friends for chat simply tick mark on option allow all yours friends to chat with you OR if you wana allow few friends to chat with you then tickmark ungrouped friends an select the friends to whome you wana appear online for chat view above screenshoot for details.
