Finally orkut have announce the launch of a brand spanking new version of orkut but they are granting access to it via invitations. 
So if you are interested to get invitations for the new Orkut design then follow below guide lines.
Find a friend who’s already using the new version of orkut and ask for an invite. You can see who’s already gotten access via your activity stream or by this icon that will appear on your friends’ profile pages, next to their names.
Another way to get new orkut invite is new orkut official Community, If you join Get the new orkut community then the community will automatically send you a invite after few days.

We are also inviting our users for new orkut but to get that invitation you have to follow few steps and very first step is to Update your orkut status with below msg

Tried Orkut new Design and must say its much faster than the previous one.
Though sad part is like Google wave, they have released it for few people …
and without every one in my friend list have commenting power on the status update its useless for me now
