This extension implements a pane that mimics the behavior of the Facebook “notifications” window. 
A bubble with the number of new notifications appears on the icon when you have some waiting.
You can install this Extension from here , please not that this extension will work only in google chrome .
Dont forget to enable this extension from browser setting.
