Just like firefox you can also add and remove tabbed features , Opening too many tabs will drain the system resources, 
and this problem is faced by maximum of internet users who either surf from internrt explore firefox or from chrome ,if they work by opening too many tabs then then there browser defenetely gona hang.
At present you can disable that tab feature in Internet explore and Firefox Only
Disable Tab in Internet EXplore
Open Internet Explore (IE7) Click on Tools, then select Internet Options Click on General tab. Locate the Tabs section and then click on Settings button. Uncheck Enable Tabbed Browsing. Click Ok till Exit.
Enable Tab in Internet EXplore
If you want to enable tabbed browsing in Internet Explorer 7 after disable it, simply repeat the above procedures and check the “Enable Tabbed Browsing” to re-enable tabs in Internet Explorer 7.
Disable Tab In Firefox
To Disable Tab from Firefox you have to install Tab Killer Firefox Add on .You can enable this addon if you don’t want to use Tab feature and disable to use tab feature in firefox.
